Blaise
NPC and Starting Equipment
Blaise: The NPC for the Forging Skill. Blaise provides new players with information about Forging and gives players an Iron Hammer to get players started on their forging a journey.

- Leveling: XP is earned when players smelt and forge items.

Experience and Leveling:[]
Smelting & Forging grants experience points (XP), contributing to leveling up the forging skill. Higher-level ores and bars provide more XP.

- Bars are used to create metal components that can be assembled to create tools, weapons, armors, and other items.

There are a various types of ore and bars in the game, each offering different use cases and some more valuable use cases and requiring higher forging levels to create.
Smelting[]

Furnace
Overview[]
The furnace is used in the forging skill for the purpose to smelt ore into bars.
Lighting the Furnace[]
To use the furnace, players must first light it. Ensure you have 5 logs of any type in your inventory. Click on the furnace, select the logs you want to use, and then choose "Select." The furnace will light, and higher-level logs will burn longer than lower-level logs.

Using the Furnace[]
Once the furnace is lit, click on it to bring up the smelting options for different types of bars. Select the desired bar type, provided you have the necessary ore for the recipe. An animation will play, showing the mold on the right side of the furnace filling up with liquid metal. When the mold is filled, a bar will be completed and will appear in your inventory.

Anvil
Overview[]
Forgable items are crafted using various recipes that require metal bars to create different components. Players must have a hammer equipped and use an anvil to forge these items from the metal bars.
Using the Forge[]
With a hammer equipped and bars in your inventory, click on the anvil and choose the type of bars you wish to forge. You can then filter through the available options to find different metal components. Click on the desired metal component and choose "Select" to create it.

- A special item that hatches into Icarus Ironmelter, the Forging Skilling Pet. This pet aids players in their forging activities by providing various bonuses and abilities.
Icarus Ironmelter[]
- The forging Skilling Pet. This level-able phoenix hatches from a special egg and enhances forging efficiency.
Abilities[]
Icarus Ironmelter provides several benefits as it levels up:
- Extra Resource Chance: At level 25, an unlockable ability gives a chance to earn an additional bar or forged item while smelting or forging.
- XP Resource Burn Chance: At level 40, an unlockable ability allows a chance to convert a bar or metal component directly into experience points.
- Resource Banking: At level 50, an unlockable ability provides a chance for a smelted or forged component to be sent directly to the bank instead of the player’s inventory.
Flaming Munchies[]
Special food used to unlock and enhance Icarus Ironmelter's abilities. Feeding Flaming Munchies activates abilities like extra resource gathering, XP boosts, and direct resource banking, significantly improving smelting and forging efficiency.
Forging Skilling Shards[]
Overview[]
While smelting or forging, players have a chance to receive shard pieces. Four pieces can be combined to form a full Forging Shard, which can be used to unlock the Forging Skilling Outfit, Pet Foods, Egg, and Pet Abilities. Players must have 1 of each piece to combine to a full shard.

The Flameforger's Attire comes with five unique pieces: head, upper body, lower body, gloves, and boots.. Obtained through redeeming 5 Full Forging Skilling Shards per piece (requiring 25 shards total to create the whole set).

General Tips[]
- Upgrade your hammer: Use the highest-level hammer available to you. Higher-tier hammers allow you to forge more advanced items.
- Smelt ores into bars
- Smelt Ore and Forge in Batches to reduce bank runs, but it is recommended to keep multiple slots opened in case of earning a shard, scavenger hunt token, or any other potential random drops.
- Participate in events and updates for additional rewards and opportunities to enhance your forging experience.
