Hopper: The NPC for the Woodchopping Skill. Hopper provides new players with a free Iron Hatchet to get started on their woodchopping journey.
Mechanics:[]
- Players must have a Hatchet equipped to chop Trees.
- Trees require different levels to chop down. If a user level does not match or exceed the level requirement of the tree they may not chop the tree.
- Each hatchet has level requirements to equip as well as a hardness. The players level & hatchet type will determine the effectiveness a user has while earning logs while chopping trees. Example, a user at level 45 with a Steel Hatchet will earn logs faster than if they were to be using an Iron Hatchet or had a lower level.
Experience and Leveling:[]
Chopping trees grants experience points (XP), contributing to leveling up the Woodchopping skill. Higher-level trees provide more XP and better resources.

While chopping trees, players have a chance to receive shard pieces. Four pieces can be combined to form a Full Woodchopping Shard, which can be used to unlock the Woodchopping Skilling Outfit, Pet Foods, Egg, and Pet Abilities. Players must have 1 of each piece to combine to a full shard.
